Important Save Tips for Kustom Software

Saving properly in Kustom apps can save you from losing hours of work. Here's what you need to know:

Two Types of Saves:

1. 💾 Diskette Save (Screen Publish): Saves progress only to the active screen or project you're working on.
2. Export Save: Saves your project as a file in your storage. This is the critical save you need to protect your work.

Best Practices for Saving and Exporting:

Export regularly, especially after reaching milestones. This applies to widgets, wallpapers, watches, everything.

⚠️ Warning: If you load another preset before exporting, any unsaved progress since the last export will be lost.

Example Workflow with Templates:

If you're working from a template (e.g., new_wallpaper), follow this workflow to avoid overwriting or losing progress:

1. Load new_wallpaper.
2. Immediately export it as new_wallpaper2 to preserve the template.
3. Load new_wallpaper2 before starting edits.
